As a result, innocent people will continue to be preyed upon by those who have no respect for law, life or property. Physical injury, emotional and mental trauma and financial burdens may be suffered by the victims of crimes. The added worry over medical bills and loss work time add insult to injury. Policing is an important feature of community life. Maldives Police Service strives to provide an excellent service to thecommunity that it serves and we consistently Endeavour to improve that service. We are committed to delivering a very visible police presence on our streets to reassure and maintain close contact with the people who live and work . A number of recent legislative and internal organizational changes have been made to deliver improved service. Change is an ever-present aspect of modern life.
