.:S:. Day 13 – Prospit or Derse?

evidence of how horrible i am at photoshop Personally, I think I’d fit in best on Derse. I really don’t think I have enough courage to be a «hero» like the Prospit dreamers. This is how I think of how a character should be classified…: Prospit: :bulletyellow: They are usually «loose», more emotional, and express themselves more with their words and speech. Great Prospit examples of this type of dreamer are: John, Karkat, Terezi, and Vriska. :bulletyellow: They have somehow been outcasted from society in one way. Karkat-he alienates himself from most people, Vriska-no one wants to talk to her because either they are her archenemy or out of fear of being mind-controlled, Terezi-she’s blind! also, she doesn’t have a lusus, even John-his friends tend to poke fun at his derpiness. :bulletyellow: Throughout their lives they have shown heroic and caring characteristics. John-we can blatantly see his heroicness throughout Homestuck, Karkat-he declares himself leader and throws responsibility on himself, Kanaya-when she needs to, she’ll take charge, like with her denizen. But, when she tends to take the iniative and attack other trolls to save others, it can be partly out of revenge, as with Eridan, and her rage just spilt over and she kicked Gamzee in the uh…food for nut creatures. Derse: :bulletpurple: They tend to want to be in the background-still trying to help out the Prospit dreamers as much as possible but really they are the ones carrying all the weight. If they fail, everything fails. Prime examples: Dave, Rose, and Aradia-she went into dream bubbles to inform the dead characters, which helped to explain to us key events in the game that we would have missed if not for her turning god tier. But that’s a whole other story. :bulletpurple: They usually have a darker outlook on things. Confused? Rose, she loves monsters with a passion. Dave, well, he refuses to take his shades off, and I’m pretty sure that is not because of his «coolness factor». Dark history? Yes. Aradia-once she died she kind of lost all emotion and told people things blatantly, so it would make sense she would be a Derse dreamer. Nepeta-angst for Karkat and a more minor character. Feferi-she has a huge, angry monster that could kill more than billions of life forms if it got hungry. She can’t be that much of a ditz to be all carefree when she’s got a dangerous lusus on her hands. Eridan-just. Just look at him. Sollux, too. :bulletpurple: They’re just kind of…in the background. Aradia’s story isn’t mentioned until way, WAY into Act 5 Act 2. Rose and Dave aren’t really offering their backgrounds either-heck, Rose’s background was just talked about briefly in Act 1, and I don’t remember there being much more about Dave’s childhood. Nepeta-so she basically sleeps in caves, draws, ships, and hunts? Not much to offer for our intrigue. Feferi? Not too interesting until we meet the Condensce. Even then. Eridan? Same thing. Yup, yup, yup. But if I thought the question was: Which do you like more-Prospit or Derse? then I would choose Prospit. It’s much prettier! I mean, shiny gold or gloomy, pretty purple? The purple’s kinda depressing.
