Professor Layton and the malignant growth pt. 1 PROFESSOR LAYTON PART 2: [link] So after sitting on my copy of Professor Layton and the Curious Village for nearly 3 months, I finally managed the brain power to finish the game. (Damn you red ball stuck in a box filled with blocks! Damn you to hell.) I liked the fact that I had to obliterate the mindset that I was playing an adventure-puzzle game–and instead a collection of puzzles with an optional narrative behind it. At first I was actually trying to avoid the puzzle triggering sequences, thinking that they were just distractions. About a quarter of a ways through though, I finally understood that the puzzles ARE the game and everything else is just charming fluff. Anyway, like most things that move me for the time, I decided to make an animation about Prof. Layton and Co. (i wanted to make one off of a DS game for a while…). The entire process from idea, recording, and animating took about 12 hours. Let me know what you think!
