Orbit Simulator 2

Orbit Simulator 2 I wrote a more primitive version of this program for my calculator last year, but since Texas Instruments doesn’t seem to have noticed that the BASIC programming language, 20 KB of ram and a 94×62 screen stopped being top of the line in the 30’s, it was understandably slow (1-5 FPS). Anyway… I decided to program this simulation in flash so that it might be somewhat entertaining to play with. The blue thing is a planet, the white thing is it’s path, the yellow thing is a generic star (diagrams may not be to scale). Drag the star around if you get bored watching the blue thing orbit the yellow thing to see how it’s path (the white thing, remember?) changes. Fascinating, am I right? Edit: You can now turn off the lines (as it tends to freeze some comps, especially macs). Also, there is a moon orbiting the planet for even more super phun thyme!
