Katawa Shoujo: Measuring Shadows
Holy Crap. Just found this on a nearly dead hard drive.
The story behind this was there was once a time where I just finished Katawa Shoujo (truly the best no bullshit dating sim, period) and I was hungry for more content– …so I thought I’d try making a fanfictiony thing of my own. Turns out, not so great at programming. It’s always been my heel. This was just a demo I threw up in about a few hours, iirc. I wanted to see if I could make a dialog system that had counters that would take you to the right scenes if the numbers added up to the right point. But I couldn’t cross that barrier, and by then, KS was already a better memory than a motivator to keep on with this project. So I moved on. Still though, there’s some nice things in here… I think I have the intro to the game finished too… I’ll keep looking for it.
CONTROLS:
You basically click New Game, then scroll though some basic dialog (by clicking the grey heart in the bottom right corner). Then you pick one of two options, and it was supposed to send you to either a screen that said chocolate, or one that said SEX at the end. Hahahahaha, like I said, programming, not a strong point. But it’s all about that mid-2000s
AMBITION yo.
