Interactive Pregnant Khana
«Phew» Well, here we go again. Yet another project of mine I thought I’d have done quickly, and ended up making all sorts of changes. Fittingly enough, I was also playing through Subnautica while making it (Though I didn’t finish Subnautica until the game was almost finished. Which is why, without wishing to spoil, this kind of goes against the moral of that game. ^^;).
But still, here’s an interactive for :iconbabyshadowlol:, who’s been one of my first watchers, and definitely one of my favourites. She just so happens to have a massive collection of lovely dragon girls. This is one of the more recently created ones, a ‘sona, in fact. I’m mainly disappointed I was unable to re-create her colours perfectly in flash, and for that matter, make her glowies shine through in the dark. I found it incredibly difficult due to layering issues. Speaking of, this is probably the most glow filters I’ve ever used in a game. So I’m sorry to anyone whos game runs slowly. Thankfully it’s not as bad as it was in early builds, where I used a bitmap file for the covering water, hoping it would make it look more like water. I’m glad I got that sorted. This is also the first time I used version numbers in my builds. It makes it much easier to know I’ve uploaded the right thing (invisible to user though).
In the order of fun facts, I’d initially conceptualised this darkness gameplay mechanic for Interactive Pregnant Babel. I’d originally planned to use it to find matching wall tiles, or similar cracks in the wall. Obviously I ended up going against that idea, I probably found it to be boring in practise. Speaking of boring in practice, this began with a slightly different gameplay method. I’d almost forgotten about it until I realised I’d merely dummied out the code with comments rather than deleting it (y’know, in case I need it later). Basically you click on a moon, and it bursts into five smaller moons flying in different directions. I think you were supposed to click on the moon that matches the moon you burst before it flies away. I ended up scrapping this, because while testing I found that it wasn’t fun, and it was difficult to understand how to play. I could be wrong though, like I said, I almost completely forgot about it.
And then of course, already falling behind, I decide to make an elaborate post-birth scene (well, kinda). I’m sure some people will ask for more with that bonus though. That means you enjoyed it at least.
Speaking of, I think that’s all I have to say about this one. I hope you all enjoy.
