Homecoming

Headphones are recommended for an optimal experience. *** -Controls- Click the arrows to either move forward or backward on the timeline. ——————————————————– -Content Warning- Contains heavy subject matter and mild language ——————————————————– -Game Length- A note, there is no save feature, but the entire experience is only about 5-10 minutes. *** FREE DOWNLOAD ON ITCH.IO —Special Thanks— And a special thank you to all my musicians who helped bring this to life! Especially Quarl, I probably shouldn’t have brought you in on this so early, but you know understand exactly how I work on my stories now, haha. Credits for the soundtrack are as follows: @Connorgrail – Title Screen/Credits Effie Vision – Hotel/Reflections @Quarl – Everything Else Effie isn’t on NG, but I really hope you’ll check out some of her other stuff! I know she’s got a new album that just released if you’re into glitchy synths and thoughtful self reflections too. And I also really wanted to thank @Intrapath for coding the music element of this; I really wanted to have that back button in the game, but it ended up making things a bit tricky when sounds synced to the visuals. I absolutely could not have finished this proper without his help. *** —One final note from Bleak— This ended up taking a lot longer than I ever anticipated (almost a full year since I wrote the story, granted I wasn’t working on it very consistently up until this year) and that’s in part because there’s a lot of pain in this. Though I always try to put myself into all of my stories, this one is as close to the bone as I’ve ever written, and releasing it publicly like this is as therapeutic for me as it was to make it in the first place. I hope you’re able to get something out of it, even if the perspective itself is not one that many can personally relate to. There’s an audio only version of this too if that’s more your speed
