Fort Canning Tunnel Virtual Reality Image

This particular tunnel is very short, only 350 meters. What makes it different is that special steps were taken to minimize environmental impact and preserve historical landmarks. Rather than simply remove part of Fort Canning Hill to ease traffic, tunneling through the hill itself preserved the historical and environmental significance of the Fort Canning area. The tunnel was built at a cost of SG$40 million.
