Objectives On 26 March 1996, my beloved cousin Manuel Louise Ongpin then 19 was kidnapped and murdered in Manila, Philippines. His body was found, shot in the head, 14 days later after ransom was paid. My family was devastated upon hearing the news especially my uncles who served in the Marco’s government as trade minister and Aquino’s government as finance minister respectively. Despite this, we were unable to protect our love ones. With the help from FBI, all four culprits were all apprehended and executed. Back home, I noticed a lot of crime cases being committed such as rape, murder, molest, robberies, child-molestation, drug abuse and kidnapping. The purpose for setting up this portal is not to glorify the criminals but hope to promote awareness and to prevent crimes. Members are encouraged to share their views, post messages, post crime news, information and experience through the crime portal. With this, I sincerely hope that everybody will benefit from it.
