Ski Lodge Murder Mystery Week 15

With the demise of The Big Spender, it now appears that The Ski Lodge Killer is on the verge of single-handedly wiping out the entire Neopets Staff. As tensions continue to mount, the four remaining staff members have just about reached their breaking point. «Are you kidding me?» said The Beader, «I haven’t slept in four whole days… I’m like a zombie, stumbling around this place. But, you know, I can’t rest for a minute, because I know as soon as I take my eye off these guys, then that’ll be the end for little ol’ me…» With suspicion turning into outright hostility, the last four Lodgers have begun openly arming themselves. «Oh yeah, definitely,» said Number Six, «For the past few days I’ve been stockpiling an arsenal of weapons, just to be sure that I can defend myself when the killer strikes. I’ve got spears, mallets, a wine bottle opener… I’m not going down without a fight!» Due to the rocky nature of his relationship with The Big Spender, many have questioned Mister Shankly’s innocence. Shankly, of course, finds such a notion preposterous. «You can’t be serious! With all the money that I was making off that clown? He’s the last person in the world that I’d want dead…» Now that The Big Spender’s gone, Maverick is confident that the killer will try to get his fortune next. «Oh, of course. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the killer set their sights on me. I’ve got ten times as much money as The Big Spender did, so it’s only natural that I should be targeted. I’m accustomed to it by now. Extortion, kidnapping, bribery… I’ve seen it all. When you’re fabulously wealthy, this kind of thing just comes with the territory.»
