Ex Forging Sabre: Integrated Strike Operation
Ex Forging Sabre is the SAF’s first 3G integrated strike exercise, held in United States from 10-21 Nov 05. The exercise seeks to integrate the operations of the SAF’s Apache attack and Chinook helicopters, F-16 fighter aircraft, UAVs, artillery platforms and commando ground forces. Exercises like these enable the SAF to validate slices of new operational concepts and capabilities being developed for the 3G (or third generation) SAF.
