Double Rainboom - Part 6 Shot 56 (Optimus Prime) This is one of my six contributions of character animation to Double Rainboom, as seen at about 24:37 → [link] I was given nothing for this shot! Literally, nothing. Up top is a super simple rough animation I made to give myself an idea of what Optimus would be doing. On the bottom is my final animated puppet. This was the fifth character shot I animated and the first (partial) puppet I created for the film. Yep, that’s right. I made Optimus from scratch. All of the gradients. ;P Also, this was kind of a rush job. We were within a week of releasing Double Rainboom when someone had the idea to add extra characters to this particular shot. I had about five days to get Optimus built and animated (while working a full-time job), so I only created what was absolutely necessary for the shot. ^^;
