As the world recovers, some countries are gradually reopening their borders for tourism to resume. While leisure travel may still be out of bound for Singapore residents, it will be good to plan for your next outward trip when the world reopens.
Maldives: The borders was closed since March 2020, and being the first to reopen in APAC, is preparing to welcome tourist back from 15 July 2020. Further to initial guidelines, visitors will no longer be required to be quarantined, or to produce COVID-19 negative results.
Vietnam: The country is planning to welcome international visitors from certain lower-risk countries from China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand although no fixed date has been announced yet.
Thailand: Is gradually removing travel restrictions imposed on international flights from July 2020. Certain groups of business travellers, foreigner spouses, work permits and/or with residency of Thailand are gradually permitted entry. With groups limited to 10 for citizens of Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan, and South Korea, travellers are required to be tested for COVID-19 before departure in home country and upon arrival in Thailand. The number of foreigners arrival to the country is tentatively capped at 200 per day.
Bali, Indonesia: The Island is planning to welcome visitors from September if local tranmissions remain low.
Taiwan: Starting July 2020, the country will ease control and allow business travellers from lower-risk countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Visitors will have to provide details of their planned itinerary, business visits proof, and COVID-19 negative test results. Travellers will be tested or be subjected to a 14-days quarantine.
Dubai: The country aims to welcome international visitors again from 7 July 2020. Visitors to Dubai are required to produce a negative COVID-19 test results taken no more than 4 days (96 hours) prior to departure, and to fill up «Health Declaration Form» ensuring that they have valid health insurance to enter the country.
